We recently applied for a line of credit from lumber yard and we were informed that we have NO credit history for our business. We have several business credit cards Home Depot,Bank etc all with no late payments. However recently our personal credit has gone lower.Read a few different ways to establish business credit but doesn't seem right that you would have to pay a credit reporting company to show the credit that you have. We were recently assigned a D & B number and called to follow up on it and that's when we were made an offer to "pay" to establish or build our Business credit worthiness" any help would be appreciated. Best business credit card? Chase Ink? AmEx? Other?
I'm looking to open a small business and I want to have a card specifically for the business expenses as opposed to using my personal credit cards. I was wondering which card is the best for a small (like very small) business? The ones I've looked at are Chase Ink, American Express Gold and Discover Business...which of these is best for me? Or is there a different one you'd recommend? I know it will check my personal credit score, etc...that's not what I meant. I just meant I would like a separate card for just my business so that I don't get the expenses mixed up with my personal ones. And I was wondering if there is a card with good benefits for a business...like lots of rewards points when purchasing certain types of things (like office supplies or home improvement type stuff). Or whatever other good things it might offer for a business that's different from the things offered by personal credit cards.
