I'm hating Uni, what should I do?
Hello, I've recently started studying Illustration at University.
I choose this Uni because I thought the city was lovely and the people were friendly. Turns out I made a mistake. My accommodation is in the worst part of the city, I have to walk through dark streets and alleyways in a very bad neighbourhood in order to get home. The staff who work in reception are unhelpful and unfriendly and even made fun of me a little. (Supposed to be funny I thinkkkk???) My flat mates have all made friends with each other and I'm kinda out of the loop, they don't speak to me much at all even though I try to talk to them, and they have their friends over ALL the time making me feel uncomfortable. I've gone out with a few people but find it difficult to talk in big crowds.
The main reason for my doubts about Uni is the course - so far it's been dull and not at all what I thought it would be. I choose illustration because I wanted to DRAW, so far we've done silly little introductions, essay plans, more introductions.. I don't want to be an illustrator I want to be a wedding planner, I choose the illustration course for the experience but I'm not enjoying the experience at all so far.
On the other hand, I don't want to disappoint my family.
If I dropped out of uni I would look for full time work and begin the wedding planning business.
Can I have some advice please? And not just, 'wait a bit longer' because I've seen that everywhere.

How would you handle this situation?
I have recently left my job as it didnt work out, it was not a very good place to work as the bosses were bullies so I plucked up the courage and left, I had a friend there though who I was close with - we used to be very social together and she even helped me start to set up my wedding planning business by designing my flyers, business cards and doing my website all free of charge (which i am so greatful for!) Before I left, I asked her to please send through all the flyers etc and original website files so that in future (as she is planning to travel next year) I have them all there and don't have to start from scratch and also so i could print them whenever instead of bugging her to do it!
I thought this was reasonable...... as they are for my business BUT it has all gone horribly wrong. She told me I wont need the website files and I quote "its not like we will stop being friends". After leaving I have text and email her both socially and to ask for my stuff but no reply... eventually she sent through most of my stuff with about two words in an email but will not send through my website files, she has not said that she wont but is not returning my emails when I ask for them.
There are a couple of tweaks to it that I am going to pay someone to do (as she is not quite that advanced), I have not told her that and did not want to as I didnt want to offend her or seem ungreatful for what she has done. Also - before asking someone else to help me out with the metatags etc (to come up better in google) I asked her if she knew about them but again... no reply!
I am at a loss as to what I have done! Before I left she did start getting very quiet and short with me but she has always been like that and makes snarky remarks towards me being married at 22 blah blah.... I am just not sure how to go about getting me stuff without causing a huge drama!
