I would like to tile my closet floor but need some advice.?
I have travertine tiles but they are of varying thickness, got them free from a store going out of business. I would like to lay them in my closet; however, I want them to be lvl and flush with one another when all is said and done. I found a video on how to use a floating method where you lay the mud, then a special cement product, another layer of mud, and then the tile. The problem is that it would make my floor a good inch and a 1/4 tall. The carpet floor in my bedroom will only be 3/4" tall. I don't want to stub my toes so I am looking for another option. I've been told that simply slapping a thick layer of mud down is a bad idea because the weight of the tiles will push the excess out if there is too much which will lead to an uneven floor and likely cracks in the tiles. So, any suggestions on how I can lay the tile in such a way that it's lvl, flush, and 3/4" - 1" tall or less?

Why are more and more stores going out of business these days & why are prices going up on everything?
DVDs are costing around $50.99 prices are going up on everything, more and more people are turning up dead thanks to starvation and no food. I have a feeling all of this is connected to the bible and Jesus, does the bible say anything about all of these times of trouble and it seems like when you watch the new everyday, the first thing you hear is funeral arrangements will be made.
